German Chamomile essential oil has been employed in herbal remedies in ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome for thousands of years. The Asteraceae family is home to the flowering perennial shrub known as German Chamomile, native to Southern and Western Europe and certain regions of Asia. It is also called blue chamomile due to the naturally occurring constituent chamazulene, responsible for the essential oil's deep, deep blue hue. The aroma of German Chamomile essential oil is calming and induces a tranquil environment when diffused. Additionally, it comforts the skin when applied topically.

Directions

Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.
